Home with the fam

At the moment I'm home in Mount Gambier spending some time with my fam. Of course though because it is the Christmas/New Year period there is no cricket being played, so no Brown Caps news to report.

Clarkey, you're gonna love this, it will make your day

Well KD and I made it to the Mount safe and sound. It rained pretty much the whole way, and hasn't really stopped since. So guess what? The cricket has been cancelled, its a washout!!!! Not happy, we had been hanging out to watch some cricket and its a no go.

No Brown Caps for us this weekend.

Well it's now 2 more sleeps til I go home, and I'm excited, can't wait to see my fam and friends again, but you would never believe whats happening in the Mount tomorrow night, Twenty20 cricket, thats what. And I can't go 'cos I dont go home 'til Friday morning, spewing!!!! KD and I could have had a great fun filled cricket weekend if it was Friday night, oh well, at least we still get to see the mighty Brown Caps in action on Saturday, fingers crossed for a win.

RSS etc

I'm really liking the news feeds, I have managed to set up a feed with the local Mount Gambier newspaper "The Border Watch", I think this is great because now I can keep an eye on the going ons, and not have to rely on my mum to tell me all, it usually gets to me, but sometimes it takes a while :-). There are so many different library bits and pieces out there we can subscribe to as well that will allow us to see whats happening in other areas.

Technology related?

I dont know if this really counts as a technology related post but oh well. As you may or may not know I am going home this weekend to see my fam and friends, road trip with KD, yippeeeee. I was just thinking about this and thinking beauty lots of opportunities to get more piccis of Zac (you can NEVER have too many piccis of Zac, such a smiley little boy he is), which leads me to digital cameras.

I never really wanted a digital camera, loved the whole not knowing what my photos would turn out like til I got them developed, there was anticipation there. But I gave in last year and I bought a digital camera just before Zac was born, figured it would be easier to email photos etc if I had a digital camera, and I am so glad I did.

I now am a huge fan of digital cameras because not only can I take my pictures, but I can also take video footage, and I love being able to watch this back at any time. The only problem is that I either forget to charge the batteries, or my memory card fills up, so tonight I will go home and charge the batteries, and find my memory cards (I'm pretty sure Ive unpacked them and know where they are), and get it all ready to put in my bag when I pack.

Yay for digital cameras!!!! Lol

Mashups and stuff

Found this site that allows you to creat letters from Santa, ooohhhh very exciting at this time of year I know. Very easy to use, gives you the option to just fill in the blanks or to write the whole thing yourself.

The Blue Lake, Mount Gambier

So here is a picci I found on Flickr. I know, I know I'm sooooo far behind in my webolution. Thought I'd better get a move on though since KDs threatening to not let me come to the half way party.

So here is the Blue Lake in good old Mount Gambier. This is what Katie will be getting up at 6am (victorian time, so 5:30 am south australian time) to walk around on Saturday morning with Stretch, while I stay tucked up in bed, ha ha KD, threaten to make me miss the party, lol!!! It's not a true party without Shanksie there!!!

I tried to find pictures of the mighty Brown Caps in action, but couldnt find any on Flickr, can you believe it? Didnt really find any cricket ones in Mount Gambier, whats with that? Where are the cricket fans I ask you???

Countdown

So it is now 3 sleeps til I go home and 4 til I see the might Brown Caps in action. Heres hoping KD and I can bring them some luck for the second day of the match and hopefully get a win. Actually I didnt ask my BB how they went last weekend (first day of the match) how awful of me, what kind of little sister am I?

The countdown is on

So the countdown is on til I get to go home for a weekend and see my fam, and watch BB and the mighty Brown Caps in action. I havent been home since August so it will be really good to see everyone again, plus I have to take my Chrissy presesnts home so they dont take up all my baggage allowance on the plane at christmas time. So how many sleeps you ask (well I know you dont really, but Im gonna tell you anyway) 8 sleeps til I go home and 9 sleeps til I get to see the cricket.
